Post cover

Developing automations that interact with network devices requires having a development environment to test, learn, and experiment with frameworks, integrations, and automations. Virtualization over the years has allowed anyone to have realistic copies of network devices at their disposal. Today, anyone can, and should, have their own development environment.

EVE-NG Workbook

In the past, I developed a web-based application for creating and managing virtual network laboratories: UNetLab, now managed by third parties under the name EVE-NG, which will allow us to implement our testing environment.

EVE-NG Workbook is the guide for students in my network automation courses so that they can have an independent laboratory where they can study and develop automations and integrations. EVE-NG Workbook is the guide for students in my network automation courses so that they can create their own laboratory. The translation has been automatically generated using generative systems.

The workbook is divided into the following chapters:

  • Introduction
  • Prerequisites
  • Installing Ubuntu Linux
  • Installing EVE-NG
  • Customizing EVE-NG
  • Automating the Installation
